This week’s instalment in our productivity series resonates so deeply for me!
In her productivity tip,Helen Lindop of Business Plus Baby and HelenLindop.commentions the tips that suggest cramming or multi-tasking, but that’s not what real productivity is all about. That’s what busy-ness is about. But not intentional business.
Helen’s Tip: “My number one tip is to have a simple, clear strategy for your business. That way it’s easy to say ‘no’ to everything that comes your way but that won’t take you in the direction you need to go. My strategy is flexible, so if at any point something isn’t working I can swap that part of it for something else that does. I feel that lots of productivity tips are about cramming more activity into the time you have, whereas I try to focus on doing less so that I make time for the tasks that really matter.”
Intentional business is about knowing where you want to go and knowing how to get there. I love Helen’s emphasis on a clear strategy. It really is key for maintaining focus in an intentional business.
It is so important to take the time for business planning, but that’s another topic entirely!
Do you have a strategy for your intentional business? Do you revisit it and tweak it often?
Thank you so much for featuring me on your blog – and what a beautiful blog it is too!
