We’re in the thick of new year planning for both Oz Baby Trends and for the next 12 months of our homeschooling journey.
I find this time of year bittersweet. I want to just relax and enjoy the beautiful Christmas season and the summer months with my family, but there’s always some preparation to do. Always something to plan for in the future.
I have some big plans for new programs in 2015 and while there is a mountain of work that needs to be done to develop these programs and achieve my goals, I don’t want to let myself get overwhelmed or burnt out trying to achieve them.
So I’ve decided that I will keep a journal. Radical, huh?
In this journal, I intend to write down the one thing that I did each day that brought me closer to my goals. I won’t let myself go to bed without writing that one thing down.
The daily “thing” doesn’t have to be to write an entire module of a program. It can be, of course, if that’s what I choose and if that’s what my time allows. But most days, it will likely be more modest tasks, such as sending a worksheet off to be edited, or sending a list of jobs to my graphic designer.
Just one small step at a time. That’s all it takes. Will you join me?
