All families are different and so your use of oils and the oils your family requires will differ from the way other families use oils, and an oil that is essential to us might just be a nice-to-have for you.

I’ve been asked many times if it’s really necessary to have ALL the essential oils. There are literally hundreds of them, so it can be a bit confusing as to which ones are essential (pardon the pun) and which ones are just nice to have. All families are different and so your use of oils and the oils your family requires will differ from the way other families use oils, and an oil that is essential to us might just be a nice-to-have for you.

So which ones should your family start with?

One of the (many) reasons I love Young Living is that they take the guesswork out of that first investment.

They’ve put together a starter bundle with the most commonly used oils and today I want to help you to understand just some of the ways you can use them.

🚿 R.C. is the ultimate replacement for commercial chest rubs and is beautiful in the shower to help clear the head.

🌈 Stress Away + 🍃 Peace & Calming make incredible perfumes. Literally, the best.

👑 Frankincense is the king of oils and THE skin serum if ever you wanted a gorgeous skin serum – I combine mine with jojoba oil for a natural moisturiser. Also promotes feelings of calmness and balance.

💜 Lavender goes in the diffuser every night to help us relax and is great for soothing little bumps and abrasions.

🍋 Lemon has replaced every degreaser I ever bought and is great to have on hand for flavouring when we don’t have fresh lemons. Add 1 drop to 1/4 cup of olive oil for a kicker salad dressing.

🤢 DiGize + heat pack = the bomb for digestive support.

💪🏽 PanAway for all the sore muscle relief. It’s your no-tox deep heat. Add a drop to a carrier oil and massage into tense areas.

🦁 Valor makes an epic cologne and can help with snoring! We also had a huge calming win with this one a few weeks back.

🍊 Orange is an uplifting citrus oil so it’s great in the diffuser.

🌱 Peppermint supports the digestive system, promotes proper nasal & respiratory function, helps curb sugar cravings…love. this. stuff.

🕵🏻‍♀️ Thieves: the health-keeper. This one goes in all our wellness rollers & smells like Christmas #winwin
