Neroli and Orange Essential Oil Benefits for Third Trimester and Labour #essentialoils #pregnancy #labour #birth

A recent clinical study has found that orange blossom oil (also known as neroli essential oil) can enhance mothers’ mood state and resilience during the third trimester of pregnancy.

Aromatherapy is a non-pharmacological, cost-effective and non-invasive complementary therapy and orange blossom oil is well known and studied for its calming effect, mood enhancement, resilience improvement and as a nervous system relaxant.

If you don’t happen to have neroli on hand, orange might be a more accessible option for you. This one is cold pressed from the rind of oranges and has traditionally been used in aromatherapy to reduce the symptoms and occurrence of mild anxiety, aid in mind relaxation, increase body relaxation, and as a nervous system relaxant… yep. Definitely a good one to keep on hand in pregnancy!

There are SO MANY ways to safely and effectively use oils to support our journey through pregnancy, birth and beyond.
